Overall food sharing: Each number in one of the squares represents how much food is shared between two people (always an approximation, of course!). It can be zero, in which case the square is empty, or a small amount, or much. This is one way of measuring how close two people feel to one another, as each square represents a meeting of two people (as explained in the text). This table is the result of three other tables: Primary Food Sharing, Secondary Food Sharing, and Tertiary Food Sharing. To understand the overall social structure of Gwe Parish--how people are together and separate--this information is valuable.
